Data reveals 77% of Indians are hoping for a ‘travel romance’

A recent study by digital travel company Booking.com found that finding holiday romance is set to be on the agenda of Indian travelers this year. As people celebrate love this month, the company’s Travel Predictions 2022 research has revealed that 2022 will be the year travelers make new connections.

Interestingly, while they will continue to chat left and right on dating apps, travelers are expected to do so while on a trip. That means they’ll be using their favorite dating apps while on vacation in 2022, with ‘travel’ providing an exciting opportunity to find ‘love’.

Next, research predicted a resurgence in holiday romance, with 77% of Indian travelers hoping to have one on their next trip. In fact, research has suggested that 74% of travelers would like to stay somewhere close to nightlife spots so they can meet new people.

While a vacation can spark a romance, it doesn’t have to end with the trip. Expect many of these holiday romances to turn into real business.

Widen the social circle

While the pandemic has restricted people’s social lives by limiting interactions between friends, colleagues and even family members, this year we can expect travelers to use the holidays as an opportunity to expand their circles. social, with 81% wanting to meet new people while away and 77% looking forward to socializing while on vacation.

On Valentine’s Day and the days leading up to it, data showed that Indians traveled to leisure destinations like Goa, Jaipur, Manali and Udaipur – in addition to metropolitan cities – between the 11th and February 14, to celebrate.
