Far cry 6 guide: How to unlock Quick Travel Points
There are several methods that allow you to travel quickly in Far cry 6:
Guerrilla bases (large house icon) – There is always one of these fast travel points in each of Yara’s regions and they are automatically unlocked once you progress through the campaign. Examples include the Montero farm in Madrugada and Camp Maximas in Valle de Oro. Because these are the main bases of Libertad’s freedom fighters, you will see several items, such as a construction desk for building structures, mini-games like cock fights and dominoes, arcade for post-game scenarios, special ops NPC, Los Bandidos paintings, workbenches and more. Several options that allow you to access different vehicles can also be found in these locations.
Guerrilla hideouts (small house icon) – Compared to the bases, these are much smaller. They’ll still have a Los Bandidos workbench and board, but they’re rare when it comes to other devices. For example, a camp near roads might have a way to access cars or horses, but those near rivers would only let you spawn boats. You can purchase Hideout Network upgrades to purchase maps from an NPC. These will reveal the locations of the camps, allowing you to quickly travel immediately.
Military checkpoints and bases / depots (door / chevron icon) – Because Yara is under the rule of a dictator, you can expect several areas to be guarded by the military. If you capture these checkpoints and bases / depots, they will be controlled by Libertad. In turn, they will also become fast travel points.
Churches / cities (city building icon) – There are a few select places in Yara that can be considered towns. Examples include Verdera in Madrugada and Concepcion in El Este. These also act as quick travel points once you’ve discovered them.
To speed up your exploration, you should consider getting the Wingsuit at the start of the campaign. You will get the drop action when you hover the mouse over a valid fast travel point. You can then use the Wingsuit to slide to other areas. Just beware of nearby anti-aircraft guns as they will prevent you from using the drop action. You might as well remove them to get additional uranium for the Supremo and Resolver weapons.
Far cry 6 is available through the Ubisoft store and the Epic Games Store.
