Aha !, the new airline based at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, is adding Palm Springs, Calif., To its list of destinations in the West.
Ah! announced that it will offer flights between the larger small city and Palm Springs three times a week starting Jan. 3. The flight lasts 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing Reno-Tahoe at 9:00 a.m. and arriving in Palm Springs at 10:35 a.m. Round trips depart Palm Springs at 11:15 am and arrive in Reno-Tahoe at 12:50 pm on days.
According to the company, the flights will use 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 regional jets, operated by regional airline Expressjet Airlines.
Ah! is currently the only airline brand operated by Expressjet, which was founded in 1986, but briefly went out of business after being discontinued by the United Airlines network in 2020 due to the pandemic.
According to its website, Aha! seeks to provide travelers in small communities who have seen their air service cut due to airline mergers in recent years, convenient, short, non-stop flights.

- Spokane, Washington, starting December 15
- Palm Springs, starting January 3
Aha! the name means “air-hotel-adventure” as the company plans to partner with resorts, casinos and attractions in Reno and Lake Tahoe to “bundle” vacation packages at great prices. The airline’s maiden flight took off on Oct. 24, and it announced plans for routes between Reno and 10 markets, including four in California.
Tim Sieber, who runs Aha! of ExpressJet business unit, cited Reno-Tahoe’s offerings as a travel destination, including its selection of outdoor and leisure events and activities, as a key reason for the company’s decision. to base its operations in the region.
In addition to popular attractions such as Lake Tahoe, resorts in the area also fit well with the recreation brand’s emphasis on “air, hotel and adventure,” according to Seiber.
Ah! Also aims to take advantage of various Reno-Tahoe area events such as Burning Man, Hot August Nights, Reno Air Races, and Lake Tahoe Snowfest to boost passenger traffic.
