Sure, the feeling is mundane, but there’s just something about fall that makes us want to pick a pumpkin. Every year, in the days leading up to Halloween – and often Thanksgiving Day – almost everything we touch reflects the jovial gourds, of our chosen foam. sips to a cozy porch decor. And, almost at the right time, a plethora of orchards, farms and quaint pumpkin fields (near and far) began to enjoy the seasonal fun.

Below, you’ll find our master list of pumpkin-picking spots, which will help you with everything from baking perfect pies to carving spooky pumpkins this season.

As of October 31: Baugher Orchards and Farms

Hours: Weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Highlights of the harvest: Pick your own pumpkins with a hay walk to the grounds, plus play areas, scarecrows, a petting zoo and more. As always, sweets, including Baugher’s famous apple cider donuts, are a must.

As of October 31: Brookfield Pumpkins

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 3 pm-6pm; Friday and Saturday: 10 am-6pm; Sunday: 12 p.m.-6 p.m.
How far? Approximately 44 miles from Charm City.
Reservations? No
Highlights of the harvest: Pick your own pumpkins, squash, and squash (priced at $ 1-20, depending on size.)

As of October 31: Buppert’s Farm / Doran’s Chance

Hours: Monday-Friday: 9:30 am-6pm; Weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
How far? About 18 miles from Charm City.

Highlights of the harvest: Hitchhike at the “U-Pick Patch”, select your perfect pumpkin (any size) and enjoy unlimited family corn maze rides.

Highlights of the harvest: Enjoy pickable pumpkins (priced at 69 cents a pound), hilltop jump mats, pedal tractors, corn hole games, and straw maze mischief. Also available: pony rides, face painting, giant slides and pumpkin cannons.
